Baby Brezza Review

Yesterday I had a bit of time on my hands so I decided to try out The Baby Brezza and make my son Luke fresh carrots and some more to store in the freezer.

Last weekend I went grocery shopping and bought a bunch of organic fruits and veggies just for this very occasion.

I found a recipe to make my very own veggie wash at pnmag.com especially if you're not using organic produce.

Veggie Wash
1 cup water
1 cup distilled vinegar
2 tablespoons baking soda
2 tablespoons lemon juice

Mix ingredients in a large container then transfer to a spray bottle.
Spritz veggies until coated and let stand for 5 to 10 minutes.
Rinse thoroughly.

Some chopped up organic carrots

My goal?  To fill these!

Mission Accomplished!

Four Medium carrots yielded about 6 full containers...saving me a little over $6...not bad huh?
I love the ease of this product. You just clean, chop up veggies, and select carrot (or what ever veggie or fruit you want blended and steamed) then press steam and blend and its ready in 25 minutes. You can always hit a separate button if you want it steamed or blended a little longer.
Drawback is you have to stand there and hold the button for blend only.
That is my only complaint about the Baby Brezza. My little guy enthusiastically enjoyed the results.

***I was not compensated in any way for this review, nor did I receive the product from the company.

We're Baaaaaack!

We're finally back from a week-long vacation to the Outer Banks, NC.
It was full of surprises!

When we arrived there was a tornado watch...wonderful!  We happened to be at an ice cream shop (outdoors) when the T-watch was announced. Thankfully it never materialized. Luke wasn't bothered at all. He was too busy whooping it up on his father's lap.

By the time the heavy rains slowed a bit so we could escape, the water was pretty high. We were lucky to have gotten out of this parking lot.

Luke's reaction to the heavy rains

The skies looked like this for the majority of our trip

Fortunately for us, the sun did shine for awhile : )

A little shopping at one of my favorite places in the Outer Banks
It was pretty humid out and we needed some refreshments so we headed on over to Dairy Queen.

And I got a little hungry so...we went to Captain Franks and I ordered a Philly Cheesesteak...I know, I know. Who orders a Philly cheesesteak at a hot dog joint. Me! That's who and It was really good : )
We visited the Elizabethan Gardens and they had a really nice art exhibit.

Luke thought the gardens were pretty neat

He was very curious when it came to this fountain

Dinner that evening was yummy, yummy in my tummy!
Luke's first visit near the ocean

I should have ordered the pancakes because the waffles left me hungry for more.

They had interesting quotes written on the walls which was different.

Turtles!  Love them!

Yes, that's a diver in there with the sharks...yikes!

More yummy food

We love this restaurant!

This restaurant is pirate themed, so when a pirate finally came over to visit our table, Luke wasn't such a fan and bawled. He was ok with the pirate so long as he kept a distance and didn't talk to him. Luke inspected the coin the pirate gave to him after. It was supposed to be "for his college education" ha-ha!

You may be wondering why there are two pictures of the same dish. These are actually two different days. Yes, it was so good I came back the next day and ordered the very same thing!

This was my little sleeping angel to NC and back. He only woke for feedings. Such a good little guy. A pleasure to take on road trips.

You're Six Months Now!

Oh my little boy...how you keep growing before my very eyes!  The end of last month you turned six months..six months!  I cannot believe how big and how expressive you are. You try to talk to me every day, but get frustrated when you realize you can't actually talk yet.

You were sick in this picture and still a good sport and played with your toys

You did the funniest thing today...you tried pacifying me. Yup!  You took the pacifier out of your mouth and tried to put it in mine. It was very nice of you to try and share...I appreciate it buddy.

You are clearly good at sharing as you tried to show me by attempting to "share" your pacifier with me

We finally put together your big boy high chair...You have a lot more growing to do before you fit properly in it. You look like such a big boy in that seat eating your meals.

You have been "swimming" just about every weekend. I love watching your little frog legs go!

Here you are taking a break from using your frog legs to "swim."

I've always heard being a "Mom" was the best, but I guess you have to live it to truly know it.
