This week Luke started daycare and boy did he surprise me. I expected a little tears, but nooo, not for Luke! He was ready to play and learn. The moment we arrived at the Infant 1 area he just knew this was where he was supposed to be and Luke put his arms out to the caretaker because he was ready to part with me! I was very much amused by his actions because I was a very shy as a child and so was his father.
When I returned to pick him up hours later, I saw a few babies on the floor playing and figured he was among them..no, wrong again! He was sitting in a big boy seat working on a craft with one of the sitters. It was adorable! Being that i'm working on a degree in nutrition, the little guy's project was about healthy foods. They glued pictures of healthy foods onto a plate.
Last weekend, we tried starting him on solids (rice cereal) that definitely didn't go over well. He had a major fit! This morning I tried again and he ate it like a champ. By noon, he was a pro and couldn't get enough!
My little five month old isn't so little anymore. He's taking steps towards being a big boy everyday and it's going by quick. I don't want to miss a thing!
